Not ready!

Sorry that the frames I promised yesterday are not ready to be shown yet, I am afraid they are not dry at the moment, I used quite a bit of crystal laquer on it, so i think its going to be a while longer before I can show you.

The card above, was made a few years ago, must be 2006.  I wanted to achieve a antique look, which I think I did.  The red pearlescent and gold card give it a rich and gorgeous look.  This will always be one of my favourite cards.

What a gorgeous card! I've dabbled in quilling, but never with something as elaborate as that. It makes me want to re-visit that craft.

Really gorgeous card and thank you so much for your kind offer. Craft things for paper crafts are not readily available in India, I am sure to get them in chennai. I will take your advice and get them. Thank you again so much. Your post on making frames with strips is an excellent idea. Combination of paper and glue is a very strong bond. I will try it surely.

Hi Rosie,

Cool idea with the frames made from quilled strips...Maybe I can use up my many loose strips I have of all colors! I can't wait to see what you do with them. It's so nice to see your older work again too. I remember when you made those...so pretty and perfect!
Hugs, Doreen

Ooh, there's a new look/antique look here today! Your header is fresh, bright, and appealing, and I love the vase design. It definitely has that old world influence.
