"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever; in its place is something you have left behind. . . Let it be something good."

Looking for a new house?

Well here are two that may suit your requirements. The first house is a cottage with gable windows, it has a real fire judging by the chimney pot, two pretty bedrooms and a flowers in the garden.

I made a huge mistake when I made this house in not making it bigger, it measures 2.5 inches from top to bottom and 3" wide. When I came to turn it inside out to stuff it, it was quite difficult, especially with the chimney pot. Of course the backing material frayed as I was doing this, just a tiny bit on one side. Still I will hang it on my tree when the time comes and will make the next one a little bigger.

The next house is made from all wool felt, and it was such a joy to work with. You can see all four sides of this cottage below.
It is stabilised with plastic canvas inside and then stuffed with polyester stuffing and lavender. it's just a little doodad to sit on a shelf.
A nice espaliered pear tree growing up the back wall.

And a pot full of lavender.

Roses round the door.

Rosie,
Love your houses! Too cute!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. The 1/2 and 1/2 is lighter than cream...more like 1/2 cream and 1/2 milk. You could definitely use cream in place of the half and half.
