Hi everyone, isn't it nice now that it is lighter during the evenings? John was getting so fed going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.
So due to Spring actually being here, I made a couple of Matryoshka's this one is based on an original stacking doll, I think she looks quite cute.

She is backed with this zingy material which I have had for some years, I had a hard time finding something to back her with, but in the end I chose this. I have this material in several colours and thought I would never use it.

And here we have Miss Spring, she is wearing a rabbit a couple of carrots and a daisy. Her ambition is to work with children and bring peace to the earth.... Oh sorry I went into an Eric and Julia Morley role then.

Anyway Miss Spring is backed with my favourite material of the moment, little blue and yellow pansies on a yellow background, it also has a bit of silver in it too. Just think it's really pretty.

I have been thinking about doing a giveaway, either for my blogiversary, or my birthday in April, it's rather a big birthday and although I am not really bothered about being 50 - you are only as old as you feel - it would be good to celebrate it with something nice like a giveaway. Then of course there is the niggling feeling that nobody will join in and I shall be sat here like Billy-no-mates. We shall see.
Hope you have all had a great Monday - I love Monday's it's the most exciting day of the week, a new start and you really don't know just what is going to happen during the week to come.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for leaving such a nice comment. Your dolls are lovely and beautifully made. I love giveaways. Since I started my blog I have been the lucky winner of five! I am not quite so keen on Mondays, as this is the start of a new working week for me, leaving little time for blogging!
