I don't think I have been so excited about a craft since I began to write a book 25 years ago, then I was up with the lark and to bed as the lark got up again.... It filled my entire day, filled my entire thoughts. It was a complete load of crap and no one will ever see it, but when I think back the whole process was incredible.
Now I think what I can do with this little needle, babushka dolls, pretty little hearts, lavender sachets, and eventually rugs. There is a larger punch needle that is especially for making rugs, which I have ordered and can't wait for it to arrive.
I ran out of stuffing today and getting into town is a pain at the moment, so I have punch needle pieces that need stuffing, and another one on the hoop that is almost finished. I even joined Etsy today so have to write the patterns up this weekend, and maybe put the things I have made up on there.
So here are a couple of things I have been making this week. First is Miss Valentine Babushka - sorry about the awful photo. She is 6" long and about 4" at the widest point. She is backed with a bright pink rose print, which I forgot to take a picture of. Ho hum...
Well that's what is keeping me busy. I hope the snow hasn't made life too difficult for you all, we are expecting another big downfall on Sunday so I expect Dan is hoping for a another day off school.
Keep safe and warm

Hello Rosie, Your punch needle Bubuskia doll and heart are very beautiful. I have tried but have not completed anything yet. Lovely job on all your Punch Needle projects. Isn't it wonderful finding something you absolutely LOVE doing everyday. Hugs Judy

Hi Rosie, In answer to your question YES Pippin has been naughty (several times) Yesterday we went out for 3 hours and Pippin had managed to lock himself in the bathroom and he ate Mr Kittens new book I bought him for xmas (he didnt touch my magazines that were in there LOL!) Luckily I had moved all the medication off the bottom shelf when we first brought him home just incase, its like having a toddler in the house.
You wrote a book? I bet it isnt as bad as you say. You should look at it again and try to publish it. Im sure you will do really well on Etsy, your doll is gorgeous X
Isn't it wonderful when you have a project that is all consuming, that makes you want to start immediately you wake. All your pieces are very pretty - I love the lavender heart.
I love the pictures you posted of your work. The two heart projects are my favorite. Every time I read your blog i want to try punch needle projects again. Hope that fire you feel right now for your crafting never dies out.
