Sheep and stuff

Now don't all yell at once, yes this is me doing two posts in two days, see I am trying ...

Now, I have more punch needle pieces to show you. When I first started this craft I ordered this sheep kit, it came with DMC threads and it was a bit like painting with numbers. I was kind to myself and told myself that it was ok for a first attempt.
However, you can't see all the details, now I know it's supposed to be primitive and sort of dark and grungy, but the threads were a bit too similar to be seen properly. I had intended to put this one on a cushion, but in the end I decided to do it again and choose my own threads. Also I did the next one in two threads and lowered the needle so that it is not as shaggy. I think it looks better, what do you think?
At least you can see it has spirals on it now, and curls in the border. So today I got Betty the Bernina out and made a cushion to put it on.

It's only a 30 x 30cm cushion pad so it's not huge, and I know that the sheep is sewn on slightly wonky, but will alter that later. So what do you think? I really enjoyed making this.
As the sheep was a kit and someone else's pattern, I have been designing my own patterns. This little Spring Forward heart is filled with lavender and makes a pretty bowl filler.

Over the holidays, I was just milling around and thought that the Christmas coasters had a great pattern for punchneedle, so I sketched it out and here is what it turned out like. I just thought I should have taken a pic of the coaster so you could see what I copied - blame the cough it's driving me round the bend!

The pic isn't that good, there are some blues on there that look sort of mucky in the pic, but they truly aren't. The box is just an old crackled plywood one, I haven't stuck the piece down yet so I can redo the box.
Would love to know what you all think.
Cheers Rosie

These are very cool. I really like the heart one. I tried this craft once without much success. You are sparking my interest again though.

I like the improvements that you made in the sheep design with the spirals. Isn't it nice when you can get the basic idea from a pattern and make it your own? I love the winter scene with the boy, and your heart lavender sachet is quite nice. It would make a lovely gift! You've been very busy!
