Colours

Morning! Well it is for the next five minutes anyway. It is absolutely freezing here today - for the UK that is, I mean my lovely friend in Canada tells me it was -30 the other day so even though it feels cold, be sure that it's not really. Anyway thought we would have a bit of colour to brighten the day, even though it's actually sunny today, should have done this post yesterday when it was all dark and dismal.

These are some of my threads, I love to see them in the box, all ready and waiting for me to choose the right one. Little rainbows of thread. I am using quite alot of them these days when I do my needle punch designs. These are all DMC threads but lately I have come across Gentle Art threads and Needle Necessities, and Weeks Dye Works, these are all over dyed threads and unfortunately my camera needs charging or otherwise you could see them. But the colours are very subtle. You can see some of them on the heart I made last post, the pink heart at the bottom is done with Gentle Art thread.

Need to fill my blues box up
and these are creams, browns golds etc

I have been sorting things out and finding things I forgotten I had, this is a crewel work piece that I had started a few years ago and put away for some reason. I thought it would make a nice cushion cover. It's done with Appleton wools and I really love the colours.

While I remember, the books that I ordered from Amazon and got sent to the wrong address, have now been sent to the correct address.
Amazon were great, I called them up and confessed what a complete numpty I had been by not changing the address on One Click. They said to wait about 3 weeks, which I didn't mind, as I know they are ridiculously busy before Christmas, and give them another call to get my money refunded.
So this I did, they were very apologetic at me having to wait that long and even when they couldn't find the books as having been returned by the post office, they assumed they had been lost in the post and immediately refunded me. They got the money straight back when I ordered the books again - with the right address and they arrived less than 48 hours later.
Well done Amazon!
Having another problem with a needlework shop at the moment, but it's not actually my fault this time, just their total incompetance!
Have a great day, and keep warm!
Rosie
